ABOUT OUR BRAND

Richard Gilbert established a "brand name" as a Construction Industry Writing Expert, by creating high-quality and insightful content about the political-economy of the institutional, commercial and industrial (ICI) construction industry in Canada.

The dynamic Construction economy is driving demand in a "niche writing market" for subject matter experts, who create content in plain-English, on the main issues that concern the leadership and management of firms, associations, unions and First Nations.

Richard Gilbert visits Athabasca Minerals Inc.near Fort McMurray, Alberta, and writes a story about the largest gravel producer in Canada.

OUR VISION: CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY IS THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND THE PROCESS OF ECONOMIC CHANGE, SUSTAINABILITY AND DEVELOPMENT

Richard Gilbert was awarded the Gordon B. Wright Photography Award (Honourable Mention) by the Construction Writers Association in 2009, for a photo published in the Journal of Commerce entitled Wind Toppled Scaffold. He conducted interviews and filed a news story about the investigation into the collapse of a nine-storey scaffold, from the construction site in Victoria, BC .

We view the Construction Industry as a major player in the economy of both developed and developing countries, because this industry builds  the structures and infrastructure, which are the foundation of production in all business sectors.

In this view, the construction of buildings, factories, production plants, warehouses and power stations is the driving force behind the process of economic change, sustainability and development.

In this view, construction of transportation infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, tunnels, railways, airports and seaports, is necessary for moving people, materials and commodities in a global economy.

In this view, the construction of housing, water and sewer systems, schools and hospitals is a necessary condition for sustaining a healthy, educated and productive population.

In this view, communication infrastructure, such as cell phone towers, fibre optics and internet services, is essential for modern business activity.
